Another use for IP filtering is per user IP whitelist, i.e., the IP(s) are linked to a specific user and only for that user.

Had similar issue with WhatsApp in version 4.11.11. Switched to Beta (4.11.12) an problem solved.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.1 and Gnome 3.4.1. I have now a new issue. I recovered my system from backup and gnome-shell crashed until I figured out that it is icon-manager...

The crash issue is solved as you suggested by manually copying the schema but the tomboy icon refuses to move up :(
