@mertdy thanks for the reply! triggering a custom event is a great workaround. In my case I'll just trigger a simple string value as that's what the input and change...

+1 for the idea of applying custom styles - something simple perhaps like pass in a path to a custom stylesheet to link? I'm about to try customisation by injecting...
