this seems it could be an issue with settings. What atom version are you running? Also what is the string you are trying to input in to the box exactly?

I'm not able to reproduce this. What is the exact string you are putting in the box? it should not include quotes. I dont believe this is a git-blame issue

@buschtoens definitely up for a PR to support this feature

I'd like to support as much as possible out of the box. Url parsing code needs to be smarter since I make some assumptions right now about the remote url...

I'll look into this as soon as I can. I'm a bit swamped with other work right now so will welcome PRs!

thanks for finding this...we should be able to be notified of when the contents change and update accordingly. i'll look into the docs and try to fix this.

ok sounds like could definitely cause an issue. Can you create a repository that reproduces the problem and link to it here?
