I am facing the same issue after upgrading my project to Angular 8. Anyone have any idea?

@mamacdon Thanks. That was the issue. In previous version `intlTelInput.js` was not needed to add in `angular.json`

I think you have to add below pace options then it will not track Websocket. `window.paceOptions = { ajax: { ignoreURLs: ['signalr', '__browserLink', 'browserLinkSignalR'], trackWebSockets: false } }`

My workaround is calling `setNumber `instead of `patchValue `OR calling `setNumber `after `patchValue`.

I am using the same & able to get placeholder based on selected country. Can you provide some reproduction like provide **stackblitz** to show your issue?

Any updates? I am facing the same issue. Flag is not changed for default value when it's filled from code.

I achieved dialcode with `nationalMode: false ` option.

What is the status for this feature? It's been more then a year.
