related to https://github.com/apache/opendal/issues/4615 Your point is correct; we do need to ensure the metadata for directories is accurately filled whenever possible. Let's address this in the next release.
Thank you for this PR. I will delay merging it for now since it introduces breaking changes. Perhaps we can also update the reqsign version at the same time.
