the volume of the other instruments can be lowered in the mixer for a temporary fix

But in the second half of the recording, the timbre and volume changes before it reaches the mf dynamic (it sounds different from the sustained forte recording)

it probably depends on what processor you are using

but dragging a tempo in from the score makes it the regular sized text

when watching the tempo number display in the top right of musescore, it usually drops by around 15 per beat but then suddenly drops by a lot when it should...

In musescore 3, changing number of staff lines also affected the multibar rest number placement to be too far up or down.
