I can guess see what this problem is, although it makes no sense. Maybe I can work around it somehow.

You provided no logs, so my assumption is a slow connection/linux box. Try to disable the MPD Alteration Proxy from the addon settings, if it works it's a general slowness...

Those are not the logs, those are the cache files. Which might be useful, but a log is useful*er*. [Here in the Wiki](https://github.com/Sandmann79/xbmc/wiki/FAQ#what-is-debug-logging--how-can-i-enable-debug-logging-in-kodi) you can find the exact location.

It's ok. There is a new version with significant cache performance improvements (orders of magnitude faster). It's not into the master yet, so I'll keep this open for the moment....
