I think I figured it out. Subtitles are rendered correctly when the window is constantly resized. Seems MPV doesn't redraw the screen when cover art is show. It only redraws...
I'd honestly prefer to see the OFX version catch up, rather than putting video editor things in the stand alone.

Seems PortAudio Backend actually supports WASAPI exclusive mode, but it needs to be enabled with paWinWasapiExclusive. Would it be possible add support for this configuration?
