Shadowblade is intelligent and drow-favoring, so my wager is this causes alignment to come up for being able to carry it, as with quest artifacts.
Very late input, but SPFX_SEEK was the property Excalibur has in vanilla that lets hostile monsters track you whether or not they have eyes from what I can tell.
...I'm pretty sure that's a straightforward bug from being allowed to attack with it polearm-style.
