I have the same problem
Something interesting is that if I reboot it with headphones it shows headphones but I still don’t have audio and we I unplug the headphones it still shows headphones so...

And did you try a USB-C to audio jack converter

It did not work for me but you can if its works for you
Are you using PulseAudio?
