You may want to discuss with PR #323 to determine the best method for handling this, the version in #323 may be more long lasting if it is a correct...

What is the "default network address" that ATEM software control uses? Sounds like a network issue, could be a firewall preventing atemOSC specifically from accessing the network.

I have very little control over the connection process, I just pass off the IP to the same function that ATEM Software Control uses and let it handle the connection....
