I'm also running mix format on the files I've changed, so that's the source of any unrelated changes.

Updated the PR with upstream so we can get this merged!

Looks like `mix format` caught a couple areas to format. Let me know if we want to drop those changes.

Same problems when you try to build from source? The gem is a tad older than current source, I need to update the gem... I'll check to make sure its...

Also, this app is designed to run on ruby 1.9 can you try switching ruby versions to see if that will fix the problem?
