I just discovered that JabRef is also avaiable via homebrew cask: https://formulae.brew.sh/cask/jabref

As we have now certs for Jabref e.V. We could release 5.3 also in the app store. Will require additional signing

Yes, that's a good thing but explicit module would be better, especially regarding the zoo service provider. You need to add a provides clause see https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/pull/11761/files for what we needed...
