There is already a force field mod for 1.7 from calclavia and OpenModularTurrets has blast proof blocks fyi.

But I do think it would be great if the sensors and railguns were implemented again.

So kind of like Glen's Gasses except not as buggy and more futuristic-ish. If that was implemented I would like the emp to disable the seals on gas containers, filling...
