Confirming this happens on W11 as well, same scenario.
Can confirm, fixed for me too, sadly it seems tabs look odd now with the horizontal tabs update disabled because it half uses the bubble style now.

xformers does not support apple silicone or macos
This is happening for me on Windows as well, always when closing the last tab in a window. I've found that pressing Ctrl+W seems to make it not happen.
X11? Wayland? DE?
Might be vulkan related, which gpu packages do you have installed? lib32-mesa? vulkan-radeon? lib32-vulkan-radeon?
