Why would forge eat the exceptions anyways?

What do you mean about avoiding NPEs?
How do optionals make the situation worse for people who want to debug their mod?
If forge even just logged the exception it would be great, but no. Has anyone ACTUALLY asked in #MinecraftForge about this?
Why is the eventbus eating exceptions, and if we can't change it, we should surround our event handlers with try-catch to print the exceptions.
Yeah, the VPS died long ago, I still have backups though I think.
