odd. I got issue with aws ec2 and lightsail, try with openvpn-install and https://github.com/angristan/wireguard-install Connection always timeout, in my iphone and mac. Vultr server is just fine.

I got same issue in both Vultr and HostHatch providers, I did try Ubuntu 20 and Debian 10, 11, 12. all of theses options have no internet issues.

did you guys try expo-location https://docs.expo.dev/versions/latest/sdk/location/#locationstartlocationupdatesasynctaskname-options I see it supports both foreground and background execution mode for location updates.
