I've updated and the issue still persists.
As I mentioned in my first comment, I did disabled the "Show flashing on taskbar apps" option. But did the additional steps as you mentioned before, with "Show badges on...
And of course, I did reboot after I did the registry changes. But to no avail, problem still happens.
