Hello, this issue still happens with the latest release image

Disabling the Flashing notifications on Windows 11 regular taskbar settings doesn't affect ExplorerPatcher's behaviour. Once a notification happens under an app to flash the taskbar button, the flashing/different color never fades away once confirmed. image

Happens under Windows 10 style taskbar, in all positions and icon position modes, with extra taskbars or even a single taskbar. Flashing Button notification happens in the respective app window button, across the Main taskbar and sub-taskbars in a desktop.

Check answer here with editing the registry directly: https://superuser.com/questions/1332330/how-to-disable-flashing-icons-in-windows-10-taskbar

  1. Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings." Scroll down to the "Show badges on taskbar buttons" setting and disable it.
  2. Open Regedit. -Set Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ForegroundFlashCount to 0 -Set Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ForegroundLockTimeout to 0
  3. Then restart Windows to make sure the registry changes take effect

As I mentioned in my first comment, I did disabled the "Show flashing on taskbar apps" option. But did the additional steps as you mentioned before, with "Show badges on taskbar buttons" and regedits.

Still, the problem persists!

image (in this Slack example screenshot, all notifications have been read, and i've minimized and maximized or focused on the window, and the flashing color does not go away (and also doesn't flash, stays Orange static).

It also says you need to reboot to see the changes.

And of course, I did reboot after I did the registry changes. But to no avail, problem still happens.

Ok, please wait for a developer to respond.

If you're running the pre-release, and considering the windows 10 taskbar is now gone in 24h2, this would be the reimplemented windows 10 taskbar that only EP includes.

Please check if this is still happening.

please post your EP version and windows version with the build number, as I'm sure it's changed now.
