I do not understand what you are requesting. The `connectBlock` property of `method=overlay` allows you to overlay different textures depending on what block is adjacent to the origin block.

Neither Continuity nor Templates supports `FabricBlock#getAppearance`. I plan to support it eventually, but Templates needs to support it as well for the support on Continuity's side to do anything. Continuity...

Which resource packs are you using?

Does that pack even use connected textures? If not, you do not need Continuity. Regardless, try running without Continuity anyway and see if performance is degraded in the same way.

The issue may be worsened by Sodium's compact vertex format. Regardless, it cannot really be fixed. As a workaround, is possible to fix manually by removing pixels from the base...
