We solved this specific problem. The charset and collation were not configured correctly.

Is there a decision on this at the horizon? My current impression is, that there are many ideas and opinions to develop it further but it is stuck at making...

I could reproduce what @vincenzoml said. I had working code and then (to not expose an only internally used type) I made it private. Then the code didn't work anymore...

If there is no way (for now?) to fix this issue, I guess a better exception message which points to the real problem would be nice. I was confused, when...

As far as I can see this (2.) is possible now, although in my experience you have to provide `--skip-autogenerated`, if you only have scenarios. https://github.com/devcontainers/cli/pull/124
