Well, yeah, that's a workaround, but it would be nicer to have built in support to compose like only calling a RiveAnimation() function for example with detailed configuration

I believe [Lottie for compose](https://github.com/airbnb/lottie/blob/master/android-compose.md) is a better alternative for now. They seem to have enhanced support using compose principles.

I wonder if this is related to #180 somehow

It's hard to tell since I couldn't make my device work. But I don't think that would be the case, as long as it has the on/off capabilities.
