Yes, gedit is fixed indeed. The issue still happens though. The output is just a `[` from time to time (like in the screenshot). Unfortunately I haven't found a way...
I can reproduce it with `gnome-calendar`
`app-admin/conky-1.10.8-r1 ` on gentoo well, `${journal 10 system}` obviously works since those are errors coming from gui apps that run as a user and therefore don't appear on system level....
