It's hard to help with all the environment problems coming up. Since its working for most people its not a code bug, but usually a problem with opencv + python....
Which `djitellopy` version are you using? Can you post your output (maybe in a new issue)? Using the newest version 2.5 from pypi should solve all opencv problems.

What are the error messages when it immediately lands? Can you provide a log output?
What code are you using for receiving frames? Did you try the examples included in the readme? Do they work?
