Sorry about hijacking this comment but I don't want the original issue to creep into this new one. And it's better for tracing. Once we have some logs with this...

I think I'll just close this. If anyone does experience the bug in the future just drop a new issue and we'll deal with that.

The original issue with TLS seems to have been solved here so I will close this issue. The comment about "immediate disconnect" has been pulled out into its own issue....

Don't have any good solution ideas for this issue at the moment. Anyone else is welcome to attempt an improvement.
