We'd be okay with taking a PR for this to a stable release branch; I can then forward it upstream after we merge it.

I think we should just direct users to https://www.namecoin.org/team/security/ rather than duplicating that info across multiple repos.

Thank you for the report. As best I can tell, this is not an issue with our code, but rather with upstream Electrum: the vulnerable line is exactly the same...
