Or just an easier way to launch the demos. The location of them is pretty obscure.
It appears that sound is there, but LXMusic is ruined. It crashes and cant add mp3s to the playlist. OMXPlayer will play mp3 however.
sudo apt-get install libaudio-wma-perl will add WMA file support for OMXPlayer - Thank goodness! Now all we need is a video player for .mpg files. Now it isn't playing them...
gxine will play them but its a struggle.
I found that a package called avifile-player was excellent for wma, wmv and mov files. But I can't install that on the new image.
I REALLY need that avifile-player app or an alternative way to play WMA/WMV files. If anyone finds a fix for that, please let me know.
