spindle No Sound

How do I switch to analog sound on this version?

The Games and Other Menu has gone, and many of the packages no longer work.

It appears that sound is there, but LXMusic is ruined. It crashes and cant add mp3s to the playlist. OMXPlayer will play mp3 however.

If you run python-games you will find a little menu to switch the sound. It appears this switch only works for some applications and, as far as I can tell, not omxplayer which needs a command option.

sudo apt-get install libaudio-wma-perl will add WMA file support for OMXPlayer - Thank goodness! Now all we need is a video player for .mpg files.

Now it isn't playing them again!!!! GRRRR!

I found that a package called avifile-player was excellent for wma, wmv and mov files. But I can't install that on the new image.

Sound seems to work for me. I installed espeak, then in a terminal typed:- espeak "Hello master"

I REALLY need that avifile-player app or an alternative way to play WMA/WMV files. If anyone finds a fix for that, please let me know.

Yes i get the same thing on ' LXMusic' it load the mp3 and then they just vanish. also i cannot get the cat to meoa in Scratch which is very Disappointing ;(

can you try: sudo apt-get install xmms2-plugin-all

and then see if LXMusic works?

it could not find the following http://http.desian.net/dedian/pool/mail/f/fftw3/libfftw3-3_3.3.2-1_armel.deb http://http.desian.net/dedian/pool/mail/libe/Libcap_ng/Libcap_ng0_0.6.6-1_armel.deb

so i re flashed by SD card and redid 'sudo apt-get install xmms2' and then rebooted the Pi and it know works. but still no sound from Scratch ;(
