@khancyr I do not get an .elf file in the directory....or this just a Linux thing? 
those shown in that Linux directory are the executables I think even without the .elf extension...correct?

@andyp1per did you add this? I dont see it in any of the docs...if not, please confirm that we should add a note to the BL_Heli passthrough page
@andyp1per should I add a note in the warning section that safety switch must be off, if used, in order to communicate via passthru?
so like the logs and params, are you going to make a common-sitl-params.rst file be autogenerated? then I can place in the wiki dev section under SITL..
