After playing with the problem for a couple of days, it seems to happen when tab names fail to truncate... to the width of the sidebar. It seems the Close...

I have the exact same problem on two different Macs (OSX 10.12.3), starting on the same date. They also are ESR 45.7.0.

Yep same deal here, all looking good on ESR-52.0 x64 so far.
