I have rebased this PR.

I would like to work on this issue. Should I add them all in one PR or should I split them up into multiple?

I cannot replicate, are you using both the latest version of visual studio code and the latest version of the extension?

I cannot reproduce this error when using ```"vscode-pets.position": "panel",``` and the other option of ```"vscode-pets.position": "explorer",```. Are you using the latest versions?

Love this idea - will try to implement it
