It's marked `help wanted`, which means the core team doesn't have cycles for this at the moment. If you're able to submit a Pull Request that would help us out...
If we have to merge the container-postgresql one, then we'll have to backport this PR to all expected release versions, right?

I'm thinking we need an https://www.manageiq.org/docs/reference/latest/auth/overview.html page that talks about external authentication in general, what types are supported by which deployments (or perhaps that should be in the capabilities matrix),...
