Could you provide a hyprland.log file from a session where that happened?
You could try using dxvk with gothic, and not disabling dxnavi so other games can benefit from that
This is a Linux version of the game. This won't do. You have to set Half-Life to also run via Proton in Steam. Doing this will download the Windows version
I've seen this issue on Firefox and I think some other places as well. It's fixed on git whereas 0.40.0 has the issue.

From what I've seen it's happening on Wayland when using XWayland but doesn't happen on X11.
