A tool for visualising geographical data in systematic maps
A common problem seems to be occurring at file upload - not using the correct encoding (Mac seems to work the best), so perhaps suggest adding a tooltip or help...

Spaces are replaced with full stops in the filter drop down on the database tab.
Add instructions throughout that explain drop downs and options in more detail (e.g. placing studies with no lat/long).
For studies with no lat/long, or a standard location (e.g. centre of the Atlantic), add a cluster in a fixed position (bottom left, for example).
Will be a good pedagogical tool for researchers.
Probably behavior: treat .xlsx files like .csv files (only reading in first sheet). Add readxl to requirements should be implement in same stage as moving CSV read from base R...
The app was built using read.csv, should change to readr::read_delim
Provide option to clean an uploaded CSV file, for example, removing non-standard characters. Possible not relevant if we change from read.csv.
