Obviously low priority, but now that we can explore so much and see it as it was dreamed to be, the limitations of the local map interface start to stand...

You mention how 3bpp doesn't pack nicely into bytes and give this: `pixel A A A B B B C C C - - - - - - -` But...

How difficult would it be to have a piclegend(filename, margin) parameter that would load a PNG and carve it into the top of the character? I'm thinking that margin==0 would...
