You can definitely get console output even if the program crashes... With the information provided I can't help you. Please fill out what distro you're using and provide console output....
Also, judging by the screenshot, you're also using windows and not Linux...? Have you used our installer? Does your windows username contain non English characters? Was the program working before?...

I'd rather not make this into an official feature, but I can add an example plugin for this feature
