Not currently, no. `--override_bitdepth=8` is a thing, so it will be added. From what I can tell it is per-channel

On my current copy of Windows 10, MS seems to have replaced many of these very calligraphic characters with normal sans-serif for legibility. Maybe use some compatible open-source Chinese fonts...
