That's caused by the "Continuous check" in general settings. Disabling it will use less resources but it might then not show the HUDs in certain cases
The colours of the HUDs are reset, just the colour pickers in the settings window aren't reset, right?

Cool, nice to see it wasn't a weird setting I had perhaps in some firewall. Thanks for being already working on it
