Describe the bug

Sometimes, when using the app as normal, the default Mac animation also shows up and only gets disabled again when quitting and restarting SlimHUD.

Steps to reproduce

I can't say as to why this happens

Expected behavior

The default Mac animation should stay suppressed during the use of the app.

Happened for me too. M1 MacBook Air on macOS Sonoma 14.1.

In my case, the app works fine upon launching it, but if the MacBook is put to sleep (i.e. lid is closed) then unlocked again, the bug occurs.

The bug is fixed upon manually quitting and restarting the app, but it's really inconvenient

Should be an easy fix. This application needs a hook which will check system signals for lid closing/opening, sleep/wake and display connect/disconnect. In fact, you can relaunch slimHUD on these actions right now with yabai, bettertouchtool or hammerspoon, if you use one of it.

I've released a beta release that might fix this. In the Info tab in the bottom right corner there's a "Join the Beta" box. Please try that out and let me know if it's fixing the issue.

The current release should fix it. Please re-open this issue if it persists 🚀
