I'd still say go with ruby 2+ for now and then drop support by the end of the year.
Its so happening that gsl-nmatrix is not detecting nmatrix.h on the Travis system. It works fine on my computer. Any thoughts?

Just the name actually. And in case we support sparse matrices in the future it should also call the respective sparse method via `svd`.

I like the plugin idea. Its not a core functionality anyway.
