I installed Fedora and copiled it there - the image is 251.4 kB (251,372 bytes) now. So it is not the OS that makes it bigger.

Totaly the same problem, and I thought is it is from loose gear or something. Happens on every print taller than 4mm. I was fighting this for some days now...
