I can definitely add support for that. I'll wait to confirm my feedback [on your PR](https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-server/pull/1009#issuecomment-903152765) but will be quick to add after that.
I went ahead and created/pushed `itzg/minecraft-server:java7`. Verified using: ``` docker run --rm --entrypoint java itzg/minecraft-server:java7 -version java version "1.7.0_221" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.18) (7u221-2.6.18-1~deb8u1) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build...
You might need to set that one up as a generic pack like https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-server/blob/master/examples/docker-compose-generic-pack-atm7.yml

That's an option in the API but how would the code determine if a mod file "probably still works"? This sounds like a capability Modrinth should provide to mod publishers...
> Another option would be the ability to specify version ids to download, but then we wouldn't have auto updates This can be done. Software can do deterministic things like...
I need a new stalebot...this is queued up in https://github.com/users/itzg/projects/4/views/1
Speaking of the links, that server type would go well with the bungeecord image I also maintain. This server type sounds like it should be easy to add. I'm out...
