@neheb before we change more, I'd suggest we create a test first that checks these headers compile with `C++11` otherwise, changing something will just introduce more churn without any gain....

Video support has actually been removed from exiv2. There is a feature request to restore it -> https://github.com/Exiv2/exiv2/issues/1748 But so far nobody has had time to tackle it.

For what it's worth, I've also been running into this. For now running without swayidle/swaylock to avoid this problem. I've also found swaywm/swaylock#217 and swaywm/swaylock#86 which all sound pretty similar......
