Please see #91 for the current status of this project. That being said, it should be trivial to fork and change the imports as desired.

Actually I’ve been investigating this side of mapbox recently and it’s pretty nasty. Thanks for the PR, I’ll need a bit of time to look into it.

@andre-dietrich those are not implemented on purpose. They form a basis of a "controlled" mode - which would be useful, but there's a lot more required to actually implement it....

Perhaps it could be turned into a Dock?

Is that a good thing? There are plenty of times where going with a more concrete type signature is reasonable and good practice.

I think this can be useful for testing the package in browser.

Sure you can do something else, but personally I *much* prefer the simplicity of this (especially during initial development) than fuffing around with extra directories and trying to keep multiple...
