i just remembered that this happens if there's already a person using your nick on the network, I completely forgot about that bug. Maybe it's the issue here?

Just set more aliases.

Never heard of such IRC servers, but I guess, in the world of IRC, anything can happen.

Oh, nvm, if you don't validate; yes, if you don't validate then they change it for you, but not during the registration phrase.

I'll be adding per-message deletion. Only reason /clear is not happening because currently we have no non-IRC commands in the client and I'm unsure whether I want that to change...

Already done in newui, I'll probably partially merge it in soon.

I have a suspicion as to why this happens, however I cannot reproduce on Gboard 7.2.9.197069278 and Android 8.0. I may investigate it later.
