I tried this, and it worked `sudo gedit /etc/default/grub` Change the following line `GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" ` to `GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor"` `sudo update-grub` And reboot
