I encountered the same error too but solved it by filtering those genes with all zero counts.

Didn't support latest tensorflow 1.13

For now, you can temporarily solve the problem by installing tensorflow 1.2.0. https://github.com/blei-lab/edward/issues/918#issuecomment-468786518

big.matrix object creation fails consistently in docker containers

@paulklemm, I encountered the same problem in a docker environment as well. But using `shared = FALSE` made the bug go away.
