I'm not sure how to interpret the failure of expression test (tests7_test.cpp). @rok-cesnovar can you take a look?

@chvandorp I just pushed a new implementation and add your matrix model as a test. Can you take a look? I suspect #1146 is caused by the same implementation flaw...
