There is no message in that topic when using that command. What is the expected version of kafka?2.11-2.1.0 seems to work fine (at least I don't see this problem.)

Actually, 0.2.4 version of kafkastas does publish message to brokerstats topic. 0.2.4.3 does not. Feels like a version miss-match.

I guess you can simply save the parameters of the model instead?
