This is still present in current 6.0 daily build. Builded mutter from source with mentioned patch applied fixes the issue.

What could be the appropriate way to implement this patch into elementary OS? Could It be custom mutter binary package which would override the stock one?

@faelz As I mentioned It's a issue with driver provided in ubuntu repos.

I have just encountered this too. Sad this is still present. I remember this happen in very early releases.

I can reproduce. 1. Lock with `dm-tool switch-to-greeter` or `dm-tool lock` 2. Greeter is fine 3. Login back to session 4. Black out 5. Press any key 6. Back on...
